- Intent: Reuse building products and materials in order to reduce demand for virgin materials and reduce waste, thereby reducing impacts associated with the extraction and processing of virgin resources.
MR Credit 5.1 Regional Materials, 1 point
Green Building Rating System for Commercial Interiors, Version 2 ™ 2004, page 44.
- Intent: Increase demand for building materials and products that are extracted and manufactured within the region, thereby supporting the regional economy and reducing the environmental impacts resulting from transportation.
- Quickspecs is produced in partnership by MOS manufacturing with product manufactured in the Los Angeles area of California and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
EQ Credit 8.1 Daylight Views
Green Building Rating System for Commercial Interiors, Version 2 ™ 2004, page 70.
- Intent: Provide occupants with a connection between indoor spaces and the outdoors through the introduction of daylight and views into the regularly occupied areas of the tenant space.
- Remanufactured panel systems from GSI Office Environments contain a variety of panel heights and width, ranging from 42" to 75" High. Using 42" high panels in an application allows premier daylight viewing.
